It would be disappointing to visit one of the most beautiful places on earth and not see any of its features. We have created a number of enjoyable activities and events that will allow you to socialise with your peers and the presenters.

We welcome your partner to join you for all of these activities (some are even for children).

Babysitting for the Gala Dinner

As we want you and your partner to have a relaxing / fun night out we have organised the Island’s Child Minding Service to put on a party for the kids. They will be having as much fun as you! If you prefer to have your children supervised in your hotel room, this can easily be organised. Once you have registered for the Gala Dinner, Hamilton Island will contact you to organise your requirements.

Golf Tournament: Wed. August 3rd 2011

Golf Tournament
$150

It’s not often that you get to tee off beside the Whitsundays at the Hamilton Island Golf Club, one of the world’s premier golfing destinations. The course is adjacent to Hamilton Island on its own patch of paradise, Dent Island.

Designed by five-time British Open winner Peter Thomson, it is the only championship course in Australia on its own island. The par 71, 18-hole course is on par with Australia’s top golfing destinations for its design, location and facilities. Spectacularly located with panoramic Whitsundays views, the Hamilton Island course will challenge and delight weekend golfers and professionals alike.

Event

To maximise the enjoyment of the day we have organised a two-ball Ambrose event in which both good and social golfers will be able to participate. Commencing at 12 noon this event will conclude with a presentation at 5pm. There will prizes and the opportunity to hold aloft the ‘HealthCert’ Cup! The golf club can supply all your golfing needs (i.e. clubs, shoes etc) so we look forward to seeing you on Dent Island.

Welcome Event - Thursday Aug 4th

Welcome Event for everyone - including children
FREE

To launch the conference we have planned an event for you and your family to meet colleagues and their families. It is a unique opportunity for us all to get together and we hope that through the interaction of like minded delegates and their partners we will create friendships for a lifetime.

The event is casual with a variety of activities planned for the kids (bouncing castle, face painting and structured games) so the adults can relax and mingle. This pre-dinner activity between 4.30 – 6.30pm at the Sails Verandah Bar will set the tone for the weekend.

Enjoy a night of family fun and come Kegel 9-Pin Bowling

Hamilton Island have their own champion bowling alley with seven lanes.

What exactly is Kegel 9-pin bowling? And what´s the difference between Kegel and Tenpin?

Kegel has been around for over 1,000 years and is very popular in Europe. The balls are smaller and lighter than Tenpin and the pins are set in a diamond pattern. Kegel lanes are wider and any kind of shoes are allowed on the lanes (no need to hire those old smelly bowling shoes - bonus!), plus Kegel offers a wide variety of games, while Tenpin generally only has one option.

The cost of this offsite event is $17.50 per person for 1 hour of play with 4 people sharing a lane.
