A series of half day workshops will be run before and after the conference to allow you to interact more closely with many of the conference presenters in a small group format. The workshops are highly varied and cover a range of topics - some related to conference presentations and some not. All are focussed on improving your clinical practice. 

All workshops are only $495 and will be capped at 50 people. We encourage you to book early to ensure you are able to attend your preferred workshops.

Thursday focuses on Dermoscopy and research while Sunday is surgically focused.

Workshop 1 Prof Geppi Argenziano Dermoscopy Round Table
Case presentation and discussion. Attendees will submit difficult cases in advance for group discussion
Workshop 2 Prof Iris Zalaudek Nevi: where they come from and how they develop
This workshop explores in depth the morphologic universe of nevi (and factors influencing the nevus pattern) focusing on practical issues

3. The management of high risk patients with previous melanoma and multiple moles
4. Amelanotic melanoma, the great masquerader

Workshop 3 Di Eley / Cliff Rosendahl Clinical Audit with SCARD and how to get started in research
In this workshop Dr Cliff Rosendahl and Dr Di Eley will demonstrate the use of SCARD and it's potential in clinical audit as well as clinical research. Dr Eley will outline how to start out in research, including issues that include defining a research question, developing a protocol, ethics application and doing the study. There is also an opportunity to discuss how to enrol in a research master's degree at UQ


Workshop 1 Dr Adam Riker (US) Diagnosis and management of melanoma in the USA
In this small group format Dr Riker will present several cases of melanoma and explore how these cases are managed in the USA. The cases will range from diagnosis to surgical, and adjuvant therapy. The cases and the exploration of management in the US will be used to reinforce the important principles of how melanoma in Australia should be managed.

Dr Riker will present a series of cases of NMSC from different sites of the body and will explore with a the small group of participants the issues that arise in terms of making a diagnosis, planning excision, and considering repair.
